Yes, it is recommended in Islam that all Muslims MUST write a Will (Wasiyyah).

A Muslim can bequeath (give away) 1/3 of their asset to anyone via a WILL (Wasiyyah). This rule applies to all muslims living in any country.

If you do not have a Will, you will be considered intestate and the assets will be administered according to the rule of Faraid (islamic Inheritance Jurisprudence)
